My wife, Robin, and I have spent a good deal of our lives in the music business. I as a studio musician/producer/writer/studio owner and engineer in Los Angeles. Robin as a songwriter/singer/keyboard player who has performed in many venues in Nashville, Los Angeles, New York and Santa Fe, New Mexico.
In spite of our successes, I felt that we needed a source of income that was going to be consistent, and also something that we could control. I had always been intrigued by a home-based mail-order business and with the advent of the Internet, my interest in computers, it seemed like an opportune time to jump in. This was in 1989 well before most people had even heard of the Internet. Having a successful business that we could enjoy, with a minimum amount of work, was an important goal to us! Life goes by much too fast not to enjoy all that it has to offer. Besides, music has always played a big part in our lives, and we wanted to be free to pursue it on our own terms. The success of our business, Cassette House, could not have been achieved without computers, the Internet and other hi-tech technologies.
Currently we are writing production music and our music has found a home on hundreds of TV shows, Commercials, YouTube Video Channels, Corporate videos and just about any media project using music. Some of these shows include The Voice, The Kardashians, Family Feud, NBC Sports, American Pickers, Fox Sports, Raising Hope, Hollywood Medium, The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Counting Cars, Burn Notice, Say Yes to the Dress, well, you get the picture.
